Growing Our Faith as Preachers

Please note, this post has been re-posted from an earlier blog that was maintained by the Faithful Preaching Project before it became part of the Sharing Faith Initiative. These posts have been re-shared to maintain the full story of the grant initiative.

Members of the Faithful Preaching Project's Clergy Cohort gathered at MO-Ranch earlier this month, along with their coaches Rev. Dr. Carolyn Helsel and Rev. Dr. Mark Jefferson. The preachers engaged in exercises and discussions about their faith journeys.

One of the main goals of the Faithful Preaching Project is to help preachers cultivate faith in their listeners. To do this, preachers must constantly cultivate their own faith through spiritual practices and reflections, giving attention to their own faith journeys in order to better share that faith with others through preaching.

Are you interested in building your own faithful preaching skills? Our first preaching workshop is next weekend! The workshop is available online and in-person - we still have a few spots left so register today!
